MARCUS
Consultant
A&R
Marcus is an LA-based musician, engineer and producer. His career has included performances with artists like Andrew Ward, Walter Beasley, and Chaka Khan. Marcus attended the Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship, and majored in Music Business & Management, after which he turned his attention to discovery and promotion of emerging artists. Marcus began touring with and managing local bands on the eastern seaboard: Maine to Philadelphia.
This led to work with the Ted Kurland Agency, a full-service talent agency in Boston, where Marcus served as contracts manager for Wynton Marsalis, Pat Metheny, Gary Burton, and Christian McBride. In 2009 he accepted a position as lead recording and mix engineer at Cybersound Recording Studios, where he counted Joe Budden, Slaine, wale and DJ Drama among his artist clients.
Marcus moved to Los Angeles and works as an audio engineer, manager, consultant, and mentor. His passion is what it was: the emerging artist, and he works to help the independent artist tell her story through her art. As a consultant with Ecco, Marcus gets to work with talented people and set them up for success.
